R.C. Systems, Inc. was founded by Ron Cummings in 1985 as a custom software development company that also sold and maintained computer equipment and Local Area Networks.
Located in the Metro Detroit area, the original focus of the company was on the manufacturing industry. A standard Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) product was developed and sold to local manufacturing companies. This product was called RC Professional (or RCPro) and included features for Accounting, Payroll, Quoting, Job Tracking/Costing, Labor Tracking, Purchasing, Inventory, Shipping, Billing, etc.
In June 1998, R.C. Systems, Inc. was sold to Chris Andrews and Dale Geiger. Chris (since 1985) and Dale (since 1993) were employees of the company and shared a similar vision for the future of the company.
As the Michigan economy became sluggish, the company decided to diversify with another product in a completely different market. Originally designed as a custom registration system for a local Recreation Department in the mid-1990’s, ReCPro™ was first sold in 2003 to other local departments in Michigan. ReCPro™ continued to be sold locally until 2007 when the company decided to expand sales efforts nationally.
With the success of the ReCPro™ product over the last several years along with the decline of the Manufacturing industry here in Michigan, R.C. Systems, Inc. now solely focuses all efforts on the ReCPro™ Software product and no longer develops or sells the original ERP product.
Chris and Dale continue to lead the company today with a focus on continued improvement in all areas of the company and the ReCPro™ product.
